Turaida Castle is the Light of Latvia
 
Turaida castle is one of sign of Latvia in gauja Valley, which is many unique fact in itself build, history, archaeological, architectural and art monuments in Turaida castle.  Turaida castle became one of the centers of cultural life in Latvia. There are an ancient and modern music consert. There are numerous folk and etnographic festivals are organized various exhibitions and many other cultural event.
Turaida castle in Latvia lenguage is Turaidas, and German lenguage is Treiden and treyden; that mean is Thor’s garden in Livonian is a recently reconstructed medieval castle in Turaida in the Vidzeme regional of Latvia, on the opposite bank of the Gauja River from Sigula.
And about the territory of turaida castle that is  covers 43.63 ha also  contain about archaeological, architectural and art monuments, which provide information about historical events in the course of one thousand years, starting from the 11th century.

Turaida castle is locate 50 km North-East of riga, on the right bank of  the river Gauja. It covers an area of 41 hectares, on which is situate  37 historic building and structures.
Turaida castle is one of many historical icon in Lavina. Because its have many deep unique things around turaida castle’s build. According to statistics, it is visited by approximately 170 thousand tourists per year. Turaida casstle is one of the most popular historical Museum complexes of Lavina. At the forum of European museum in Barcelona, Turaida castle reserve was a special diploma of recognition for achievement and a winner is  awarded annualy by the best by 10 best museums of European. Thats indicate Turaida catle be the light of Lavina in Gauja Valley at German.
Turaida castle build began in 1214 under the direction of Albert, Archibishop of Riga to his Livonia Brothers of Sword (soon to merge with the Teutonic Order ) at the previously had stood the wooden castle of Liv. A’ castellum ‘ type fortress was build and named Fredeland, which translates as ‘Land of Peace’ but change to Turaida by the Livonian name .
            From the 13th century until the latter half of the 16th century, Turaida was Rīga Archbishop`s castle of economic significance, the centre of Archbishopric`s Liv district, a residence of district`s governor and military fortification. At that time turaida castle have many function in Livina itself.
When the construction of Turaida castle was finished, it was called “Fredeland” that can be translate from German as a “Peaceful land”. The German name is rooted in the Livonian land but survived and came to the present day name of turaida. Livonia lenguage that means “Devine Garden”.
Turaida castle have many impressive element. If we see from the air, or the opposite bank of the river Gauja in Sigulda,
